Camel Baby Romper

How to Care For Your Bamboo Baby Romper

Bamboo fabric is very versatile, and although it will withstand normal machine washes very well (as a lazy mum - I can attest to that), if you want to ensure your bamboo baby rompers stay silky and soft, then follow our care guidelines to ensure they live their best lives 👇

Care advice

💦 Wash: To avoid the fabric stretching, wash them on a gentle or hand wash cycle using coller water (≤30°C / 86°F)

🧼 Detergent: Avoid using bleach based detergent and fabric softeners as that can damage the fabric and reduce the bamboo’s natural moisture-wicking and breathability aspects. If you are looking for eco and baby skin friendly alternatives, then check out 'Because you care', a local UAE brand that create eco-friendly laundry detergent.

☀️ Dry: Air-dry it flat or hang it in the shade. If you can avoid to tumble dry it, then that's better, but if your desperate then try and tumble dry on low.

🌡️ Iron: If the rompers are air dried, you shouldn't need to iron it. However if it gets scrunched up, then you can iron it on low heat, preferably inside out.

If you have the energy, here are some extra things you can do to preserve your child's baby rompers 👉 Wash the sleepsuits inside out, fasten the zippers, wash it within a laundry bag with similar colours.

Dealing with Stains

It's inevitable that your little one will have accidents in their baby romper, especially if they are in the midst of weaning! Here are our tips for dealing with stains before they set in.

⚡️Act fast: Blot or dab at the stain with warm water (don’t rub) and then rinse with cold water.

🫧 Pre-treat gently: Apply a small amount of mild detergent or a baby-safe stain remover to the stain, massage in lightly with fingers, then let sit for 10–15 minutes.

🌡️ Avoid hot water: for stains that include protein (like milk or vomit), hot water can cause the stain to set. So for these types of stains, use cold or warm water.

After you have treated the stains, you should wash the item promptly after as normal.
